Clarity.
What do you want to do? What do you want to be. Whom do you want to be?
So many important questions are hard to answer because we lack one simple thing. Clarity.
When I wrote about how, in grade 1, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grow up, it wasn’t until forty years later when I held my first child, it was because I lacked clarity.
I have stumbled through my life willy nilly, from place to place, job to job, adventure to misadventure because I had no vision of where I wanted to end up. No vision of where to go means no map to get there. In other words, no clarity.
I’m presently working through the great Ray Edwards’ course on clarity. It has, so far, been great, as all his courses are, but it is focused on business clarity. It is for people who have already decided they want to have their own business, focusing on how to be clear in its purpose and goals.
Fortunately for me, before I started the course I already had that moment of blinding clarity, a launching point for my efforts to attain business clarity.
But what if you, like I had in the past, lack clarity of vision for your life? What if you don’t know what your purpose on this planet is?
Perhaps the greatest problem facing us today is this lack of clarity, of purpose, of meaning.
Maybe before we go haring off on youthful misadventures, we should first seek that clarity.
